emails not arriving in my box

I've had the sneaking suspicion not all of the emails sent to me were arriving, and my friend just told me after he sent me a message he got this message in return:

>From: MAILER-DAEMON@fastmail.fm (Mail Delivery System)
>To: [ideletedthis address]@hotmail.com
>Subject: Undelivered Mail Returned to Sender
>Date: Thu, 28 Nov 2002 07:06:48 -0500 (EST)
>
>This is the Postfix program at host www.fastmail.fm.
>
>I'm sorry to have to inform you that the message returned
>below could not be delivered to one or more destinations.
>
>For further assistance, please send mail to <postmaster>
>
>If you do so, please include this problem report. You can
>delete your own text from the message returned below.

but i'm not sure what this means?
This is IMPORTANT as I use this account for my business mail as well etc.!!
And I was just about to become a paying member starting next year!!
Happy thanksgiving all the way from the Netherlands!

please tell me what i can do to fix this!
And I assume there is no way to find out what messages I missed?

i hope i didn't miss any threads that cover this, i saw a thread where someone else got the same message himself, but i this case it's different coz the other person [not me] got the message

Red face

I had the same problem for half of today, except the error message was:

<petru@paler.net>: host /var/imap/socket/lmtpprox[/var/imap/socket/lmtpprox]
said: 550-Mailbox unknown. Either there is no mailbox associated with this
550-name or you do not have authorization to see it. 550 5.1.1 User unknown
(in reply to end of DATA command)

Emailing support resulted in an automated response almost 4 hours later, informing me that nobody read my message yet and that I should click some URL (which I did).

This is outrageous. Everybody can understand that moving to a new datacenter results in slowdowns and delays, but lost email is absolutely unacceptable.

Does anybody have an explanation, or will I just get the regular "everything should be working now"? What about all the lost mail?

Angry emails for virtual domains

I have two virtual domains hosted with FastMail. For the last 12 hours or so, I stopped receiving emails directed to these domains. The sender did not get any sort of error back. I ran the "Account Problems" option on the login page a few minutes ago, and it now appears that I am once again receiving email to my virtual domains. However, none of the emails sent in that 12 hour period ever arrived.

Does anyone know what may have happened? Will it happen again? Is there a way to get the missing email?

Petru, I personally sent you a reply to your support request a little while ago. Did you receive it?

Wesss, you're one, I'm more perplexed by. Why 'ok' is being rejected as an error is most perculiar!... This one is going to take us a few days to look in to... If you could PM me the address that it came from, that would be helpful.
