Can I also read @outlook.com mail?

Hello All:

My main eMail box is: @gmail.com. I also have a mail box of @outlook.com.

Can I also read the mails sent to @outlook.com when I open the inbox of @gmail.com.
OR: my Gmail inbox also has the mails in the @outlook.com inbox.

Thanks! -- Zhao

you can, just setup a forward all emails from outlook.com to gmail and them add the outlook account at gmail at "settings-accounts and imports,Send mail as:"

I think that's the best method in most cases. Other solutions are:
  • Set up your Gmail account to use POP3 to retrieve the outlook.com messages. This typically happens on a periodic schedule (or when manually requested).
  • Use an IMAP email client to read both Gmail and Outlook.com emails. For example, if you use Thunderbird you can see separate folders for both accounts, drag messages from one account to the other, and drag messages to local folders (which only exist on your PC).

One account from selected providers can be added via "Gmailify." This creates an IMAP style connection with your Gmail account that shows the folders and content in the other account, rather than accessing the messages via POP pulling or forwarding from the other provider.

It works with Microsoft based mail accounts (Live/Hotmail/etc) and is nice for direct access.

Hello Miguelm: I tried your method.

I open my @outlook.com and found the place:

Setting > options > Mail > accounts > Forwarding...

The design is simple to finish. BUT, the inputted to outlook mail did not forwarded to
@gmail.com.

You said: "add the outlook account at gmail at "settings-accounts and imports,Send mail as:"

I did not find the "settings-accounts and imports,Send mail as:" at the gmail!

Could you help me again?! --Zhao
