Opera Mail vs. Fastmail Adfree Full
mail.opera.com vs. fastmail.fm "full" level
Aren't these the same service & interface with just different limits? Why would one sign up for fastmail's full level when opera mail offers more for free? One reason - domain names. 2nd reason - ability to upgrade to higher service levels. Anything else I am missing? |

There is no support for mail.opera. With a "full" FM account you are entitled to submit official support request. See elsewhere in this forum for opinions on the support quality.
FM comes with Sieve for sophisticated processing of incoming messages (not for the faint-hearted...) FM comes with "Files" - disk storage which can be used e.g. for hosting a simple website. |

I meant the official, individual support, see FM's Support form page. This is pretty obvious from my previous posting,

features that especially cater to business use, whereas commercial use of an Opera account is forbidden by the TOS. I like the Opera account for its blog capabilities and social aspects. But the FastMail account is far superior if one is going to depend on it for good parts of one's day. Anyway, those are just my own impressions of the two. Actually, I have both. Is there any known policy about datamining for either of these services?
P.s. Thanks for all the helpful answers. |
