When I was younger I had always thought (at this time of year) that Texans were beating the heat in their homes on the range.

I guess my geography was a little off....

I live in Irving Texas (Dallas / Ft Worth area). That video must have been taken within a few miles of my house. Anyone outside had bodily damage which needed to HEAL. I'm a trained storm spotter, and here is a report from our Amateur Radio weather net that evening:

7:02 – 31 –golf ball, 1 3/4", hail moderate, rain 1" per hour
7:05 – 31 –2” hail moderate, rain increased to 2" per hour -- Sirens heard/activated
7:09 - 31A - 1" hail moderate, rain less than 1" per hour, wind 10 mph estimated
7:25 - 31A- baseball, 3” size, hail moderate, light rain, calm wind
7:25 - 31A - 2-3" hail heavy, light rain
7:30 - 41B - golf ball size hail moderate, 1" per hour rain
7:33 - 41B - golf ball size hail heavy
7:36 - 41B - no hail, no wind, 2” per hour rain
8:20 - net closed
