How to download emails in a folder

To download the messages of a folder as a zip file. In the current interface, it is rather well hidden. Go to Settings => Folders and click on Advanced (top right). Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on Purge//Download//Remove duplicates.... The page that appears allows you to select a folder and one of the options is to download the contents of the folder as a zip file.

Hope this will help someone....yes I know its not new but perhaps forgotten for some of you or for people who don't use Thunderbird etc.

You can also download one or more messages in a list of messages in a folder or search. Just select the messages you want to be included in the zip file, and you are given the download zip option.

Where? If I select a bunch of things the Toolbar buttons remain as: Archive Delete ReportSpam MoveTo More, and the latter only offers the usual: Mark as Read, Mark as Unread, Pin, Unpin, Forward as Attachment.

We cant do that as there is no where to include the selected message in a Zip file or perhaps we are looking in the wrong place....or something has been changed.

Very sorry. I forgot the feature to download zip from the message list had been retired. What there is now is less convenient. You can select messages, forward them to yourself as attachments, open the new message, select the attachments and download them as a zip file. Then delete the message you created to get the attachments to save. In most cases, it will probably be too much trouble.

Ah, ok. Ironically I've used that forward-to-me-at-FM method to get at mails from another provider's less versatile webmail system, without ever thinking of doing it entirely within my FM account.
