Talking "As big as any ocean, as sweet as any harmony..."

'80s lyrics quiz!

Any other aging hippies/punks/whatever out there, give it a try.

I don't know the answers to questions 2, 7, 10-12, 17-23 (but I guessed #17 and #20 — #9 should be easy to guess), 25, 26, 28, 31-43(!) (I'm sure #44 is a '60s one), 45, 46 (47 is an '80s cover of a '60s song — and is now more famous than the original!), 48, 52, 54, 56, 57, 59-62 (but #62 is another easy-to-guess one), 64-70, 72-79, 81-87, 89 and 91-103. I only scored 47·55. And when I pressed the "score it" button, the response for #8 accused me of having been watching MTV. I've never watched MTV; I just happen to remember that (dumb) lyric.

The title of this thread is a qoute from #9. I know #16 partly because I live near Brixton, S. London, where the street in question is. I parody #55 as "I was working as a raisin in a chocolate bar"...

(edit) #44 is supposed to be "hard" according to the answers page, but it's easy if one is a '60s child like myself; it was very popular in its original (circa 1966) incarnation, and was one of the songs that got stuck in my head as a ten-year-old.

I got a 79.5 score (I'm a Pop Junkie). I should have done better. Some of them I just couldn't remember with the short phrases that they gave; but when I read the answer, I'd remember the song.

This was fun; a good one to pass along.

Did that include a five-point bonus for filling in the "where did you get this link?" box? Mine did...

I scored a 59, and that's including my 5 point bonus. Considering that's my "peak" decade, that's pretty poor...
