@att.net Option Removed

AT&T recently removed their @att.net option from the signup page. As of this post, it does not show up. Any idea as to why that is?

Option is Back

I come back, the option is now back. If the @att.net option does not appear again, let me know.

At&t mail

Out of curiosity, I went to that page. Only an @currently.com option pops up.

I do not see an option of att.net, only @currently.com available.

By the way, I was able to register <my first name>@currently.com

For those, who needs access to POP/IMAP/SMTP/CardDAV/CalDAV: create App Password (called secure mail key) here https://www.att.com/acctmgmt/profile/secureMailKey

It seems that IMAP/POP/SMTP/CardDAV/Caldav servers are identical to those of Yahoo Mail.

It IS Yahoo email. See their main page URL:
https://currently.att.yahoo.com

AT&T has an agreement set up so that Yahoo provide email services under the currently.com and att.net domain names. It?s possible that they are starting to now limit the att.net domain to paying AT&T customers.

It strikes me as another odd domain name for email. I guess it is for when people get asked "what is your current email address?".

I did a search that said currently.com [was] a weather service.

Some people here deserve applause for stating some informative comments about ATT and Yahoo.

Possible a while back was, one could visit the Yahoo site, sign in using his PAID-FOR att account, and view and read and manage his att email. THEN, things changed.
