The good news, I suppose, is that the only way the spammers seem able to combat the spam filters is by making their messages contain less of the annoying characteristics that spam has normally contained.
I'm still spam-free based on the whitelisting that I set up following Rich's guidance, but I've gotta say, for the spams that I have to occasionally clear out of my spam folder, I'd prefer the kind of small, text only messages to the old, bloated, HTML and annoying font and graphic-laden spams of yesterday.
Anti-spam software is still best to the extent it eliminates ALL spam, but if in the mean time it makes spam less bandwidth hungry and less garish, that's not an entirely bad thing . . .
