One Fastmail support forum (or more than one)

Would you like to return to the days of yore, when Fastmail only had a single support forum? I liked it better when we only had one forum - it negated the need for moderators to relocate threads (within the Fastmail forums) which happens often these days. Look at all the threads that have been created (since the days when we had a single forum) about Fastmail being down.... that were posted to the wrong forum. What do you think

edit: to clarify - Please vote yes if you would like to return to a single support forum

You might want to modify the labels (or ask a moderator to do it). Yes and No are not very clear.

BTW, I voted Yes. I personally participate less ever since the split. I'm not sure the that merging the forums back would change that, but it might

Prog.

I modified the poll question - hope it's clear now.

One would be nice. I'm not sure there is much merit for three anymore.

Two rather than three please

I voted "Yes" - but I would prefer two:-

One for suggested enhancements; &

One being the merged General Discussions & Help & Current Issues

Thumbs down

Shouldn't this poll be in the other forum?

I'm easy any way. To be honest I'm not sure I like the current split, posts in "General" vs "Current Issues" forums seem pretty arbitrary.

No - two would be OK though. I'd rather enhancement requests were kept separate as they are now. IIRC, the number of feature-discussions and enhancement-request threads was (a large part of) the reason for dividing the then single forum.

You're probably right but the way I remember it was the regular members were upset at the number of "repeated" type help requests that were asked over and over. They only wanted to respond to the discussion type threads without having to scroll through all the other stuff. (the subjects didn't always say the type of thread it was) I think that's why they made the General Discussions Forum without any help type threads. That seems to have worked for them after the split because I only see them show up once in awhile for the discussions that go on. Personally, I didn't mind reading the help threads so I wanted it to stay as one forum...

Its quite amusing that after arguing for a split forum for so long, currently 75% of those polled now want one forum?!
I don't get it?

Don't forget that although the poll didn't allow for it quite a number want two forums - one for enhancement requests, and one for everything else.
