FM Compose page rich text - Spelling checker

Hi

It's been great having no problems with FM for three years, but now I have suddenly lost my spelling checker. Using Chrome with spell check enabled. An earlier ED.com post stated that the FM spelling check button is on the compose page when in rich text. This is invisible to me. I have been into Settings and there is no item for s. checking. Entering 'spelling checker in FM help/search draws a blank. I notice that my 'More' drop down menu is missing. Is that the problem?:

Any assistance will be welcome

Regards

New UI - Spell check when composing Rich Text

Bump !!

I too have the same problem using Frirefox (V52.0.2), and Windoze 10.

Spell check works in Plan Text, but not Rich Text.

Are we doing something wrong? How does one spell check in Rich Text please?

NJSS

This should, of course, be in the Fastmail Forum !

The Firefox 52.0.2 (64-bit on Windows 10) browser spell check works properly for me in both the plain text and rich text Compose screens. The Firefox main spelling activation is on the Firefox Options>Advanced screen. Then you can right-click on the Fastmail (current normal web interface) compose page body area to turn Check Spelling on or off.

Similarly, Google Chrome Version 57.0.2987.133 using the normal Fastmail web interface also works fine. Again, if you right-click the body area of the Compose screen you can activate or deactivate the spell check feature.

Fastmail has no control over many of your browser features. That's why spell checking is not mentioned in the Fastmail help. You need to search the help for the browser you are using. For example:
