Uptime history page
OK, the first version of the uptime history page is now up. It's linked from our backup server, which is here: http://admin.fastem.com . I've also put up a backup copy of the docs there, so if people are having FastMail.FM connectivity problems you can still get to the docs to help you resolve it.
The uptime history page currently shows a rolling 24 hour status. The DB will actually store a few months of history, but just 24 hours is being reported on for now. Some stage soon I'll probably add a one week and a one month summary. I've added a dummy outage entry on server3 so you can see what it looks like. All times are Server Time (San Antonio, Texas). The uptime history page is synced from the main server every 15 minutes. For www.fastmail.fm to be marked as 'up' it must have successfully logged into the web, POP (/SSL) proxy, IMAP (/SSL) proxy, and LMTP (mail delivery) proxy. For server2 and server3 to be marked as 'up', it must have successfully logged into the server with IMAP and listed an inbox's contents, and also have logged into POP (/SSL), and LMTP. This is checked every 2 minutes. If there's an outage we'll add something to the 'Details' column as soon as we find out the cause. Every 20 minutes we still run the more complete test that tries many actions through the web interface. However this is not being reported through the uptime history page at this stage. |

If anyone questions the commitment of the people behind fastmail.fm, I suggest they read this tread, and many others like this. It clearly illustrates to what lenghts will they go to monitor and communicate the performance of the servers. Keep up the good work guys!

I get the uptime history page fine when I click on the Uptime History Link. However I am still getting
"The requested URL /styles/dark-on-light.css was not found on this server." when I go to http://admin.fastem.com/ and click on the DOCUMENTATION which is in turn linked to http://admin.fastem.com/docs/faqparts/FMFAQ.html. |

Hmmmm.... Worked fine for me from my Windows box, too, using IE 5.50.4522.1800CO (that's what the Help/About reports). Not sure what could be causing your symptoms.
