I wonder what's happening to Fastmail staff

For those who don't know, Fastmail is based in Melbourne, Australia.

Seems like extreme overreaction for 26 cases. I live in a place with about 25,000 inhabitants and we were hitting more than 100 new cases in a week a few months ago yet daily life went on pretty much as normal. We had 55 new cases last week. We did have to wear masks, limit crowds indoors, etc., but nothing so extreme.

Here (in Melbourne) I think the stats that matter are the numbers going into intensive care and the numbers dying, and the aim is to minimise them. Nipping it in the bud has been very effective, albeit somewhat expensive.
