Over a year late, I guess, but I recently watched Troy on DVD and wow what a disappointment (I should've listened to the critics ). It takes larger-than-life actors to pull this kind of thing off, and sorry, but Brad Pitt, Orlando Bloom et al just can't cut it . Also it doesn't help that the woman playing Khryseis is (in my opinion) more beautiful than the one playing Helen, "the fairest of women"...but then we don't have an Ava Gardner, Vivien Leigh or a young Elizabeth Taylor anymore either I guess with this and the Alexander dud, there won't be much of a swords-and-sandals revival

I was disappointed in Troy, too. Although it did raise my opinion of Brad Pitt just a little...and did nothing for my fairly low opinion of Orlando Bloom.

I second the vote for MI2, and motion to remove it right away!
Unfortunately, I've seen it more than once.

Aside from a few entries like this,

you'd think most people on here had never heard of a b-rated movie, rather than big budget movies that they were disappointed in (granted, not that this is BRAGGING though...).

Case in point: THE worst movie I ever saw: a bad b-rated 50s movie called The Atomic Blonde (which I never knew if that title was in regards to the idiot guy in the lead or his wife). It's sci-fi premise sounded pretty promising of a guy wanting to hide out from a possible h-bomb attack. Unfortunately he's so stupidly paranoid about it he decides that it's time for him and his wife to hide out in a cave...and until the fateful h-bomb attack day arrives, he could do stand-up routines (note that I didn't say "comedy" ) to crowds while wearing a caveman-type animal outfit (you know, the cliched costume that every cartoon caveman wears, with the strap over the shoulder and all). And if that sounds bad, no, you're wrong, it's even WORSE than it sounds...utterly stupid and horrible.

I doubt it ever came out on video, but if it did and it made it's way to those video resale stores that you might have in your city for only a buck or three or four for previewed movies, you're better off buying and burning it, rather than watching it, since you could spare someone for buying it out of curiosity to take a chance to see if it's entertaining (which it's not). Remember, that two hours you would save could be your own!

A really b grade movie I saw recently was KVC - Komodo VS Cobra

Dodgy dodgy dodgy special effects, average acting and the storyline had quite a few gaps in it! I thought it would be like Anaconda/Anacondas, but it was really lame.

But I guess they tried to make a good movie, so maybe thats the main thing
