Opinions on EasyDNS for mail hosting

I have been wondering about using EasyDNS as a one-stop shop for domain registration and mail hosting. Any opinions on their web interface? Is the price fair?

The main problem at the moment is that I can't even figure out what exactly they offer in mail hosting and at what price. Their other services are advertised much more visibly.

So what is the consequence of this? Is it that people who register a domain name with easyDNS may sometimes be unable to send and receive email with that domain name?

Yes, more or less.

you will most likely see significant delays in sending and receiving e-mail and have trouble accessing the site.

Take a look at their status blog: http://blog.easydns.org/category/status/

Is easyDNS targeted more than other registrars for some reason?

Luxsci uses them for their DNS Hosting. EasyDNS does not use Luxsci for their mail hosting though is my understanding.

I second DNSMadeEasy, we have been using them since 2012 and have absolutely no complaints.

Both rollernet.us and Fastmail include DNS services with their email.

easyDNS does provide excellent DNS service and they do a lot to mitigate DDoS issues that affect the majority of DNS providers. For those interested, these posts shed some more light on this:

Yes. I know their CEO Mark Jeftovic, from mailing lists. He is a nice man, had helped me once. He wrote a nice book about domain and DNS, though i forgot the book name.
