Force BCC in Outlook

Hi all,

long time no see

Typing from the office so I will keep it short. We use Outlook and we have a rule set up my that I receive a CC from every email my boss receives or sends out. But this CC shows in the emails to clients. How can I change this rule from CC to BCC? Can't find anything in the Outlook options to do this.

Thanks in advance for any help!

I've never done this, but a search found this (requires some programming):

To automatically BCC all outgoing messages

and here's a $30 add-in:

Auto BCC/CC for Microsoft Outlook

and here's a free one with a nag screen, but registration is only $3.50 (from the first link, under tools, although it says it's only for up to Outlook 2003)

Welcome back.

Thanks for the welcome back :-)

I have found several programs that will do the job but I was hoping that there would be a way in Outlook to get the job done, but I think that that is not possible.

Many free tools to do this, check out Mapilab too.

In outlook, you can use the rules wizard to auto cc message after you send it.

Or you can use a visual basic script to do an Auto BCC. I did this for years.

Search Google for Visual Basic and Outlook and BCC. you should find something. I am not going to post it here, since if you are not a programmer, you can screw things up royally...

Also, several email services offer auto BCC. I.e. if you send your mails through tuffmail.com or controlledmail.com, you can have optional auto bcc.

We can't use an email service because everything runs on office servers etc. But our IT-department (if you can call them that) is looking into programming Outlook now so that we can use BCC. I gave them the programming code so who knows they might go ahead and try it.

Glad you found the code...

If you are running a server, there should be something they could implement on that side too...
