The use of a copyright notice is no longer required under U.S. law, although it is often beneficial. ... Use of the notice may be important because it informs the public that the work is protected by copyright, identifies the copyright owner, and shows the year of first publication.
The year of first publication of the work is what needs to be shown. From: https://www.copyright.gov/circs/circ01.pdf https://www.copyright.gov/circs/circ66.pdf I doubt that the contents of these forums could be copyrighted except by the original author (since we are not working for EMD Forums), and only if the content was unique or literary in nature. So I question the usefulness of any copyright statement here. Bill |
