Stationary?
Any ideas on how to create stationary (similar to Thunderbird's)?

Stationary?
what a bunch of jokers! I am using the mail program that comes with fastmail... and I don't see anyway of making "stationary" or canned responses.
Serious replies only, please? |

Are you talking about using stationery within Fastmail.FM webmail? (Instead of with Thunderbird, Outlook Express, etc.). Just a heads up, Fastmail.FM isn't the only e-mail provider discussed here. If your question is specific to Fastmail, then a moderator can move this thread to the Fastmail forum. |

rmmarsh: If you are looking into having preformatted email in the FastMail webmail interface, search these forums for "Templates" (or FastMail's help). You can save template email messages than you can then reopen in "Compose", edit and send (and the saved template doesn't change). These can be just templates where you have set some styling and add all content, or they can be almost ready to send email messages where you just change a few items (such as insert a client's name and address and send). These don't work with "reply" or "forward", but in a tabbed browser environment can still be useful for this with a bit of cutting and pasting. "Stationery" as in attached image used as background is not possible now as it is a particular instance of referencing an attachment that is not yet possible in FastMail's webmail client. Also you should know that there is no gurantee that the recipient would see it, since many recipients would have images turned off while viewing inciming email. It is possible to to include images by hosting them in FastMail's file hosting and then linking to them from the email messages, but this have an even higher chance of not showing in the recipient's mailbox (external images or references turned off). Designing a text based templates with tasteful choices of font/size/color combinations would prbably reach the eyes of more recipients. Edit: corrected spelling (in boldface). With so many mis-spelled words on this forum, one can never be too careful.

I thought that, in this case, I would ask first, shoot later. The reason I said "a moderator" is because it didn't have to be me that moved the thread. Someone else performed the task. |
