Indeed! An oven is preferable OVER other methods of cooking when it comes to cakes!

Have I EVER expressed any opinion on the merits of oven?

An oven that maintains an even temperature is best, so I have been told.

Auntie BEEB website reports a story of a kitten rescued from inside a wall.

A totally cookie-unrelated entry, but well within the rules.

What a nice story! After such an ordeal, I would think that the kitten would go and beek before the fire.

You don't think that the cat will SEEK a living arrangement far away from troublesome human buildings?

If the kitten is meek (and mild) it will likely be happy wherever it lives, as long as it is not inside a wall

I'm not sure the kitten would appreciate living with Mr. SMEE, Captain Hook's right-hand man.

It would SEEM that Smee is the right-hand man for a pirate who has no right hand. That's a very strange position!

The kitten would be much happier in a SEMI (aka "duplex" in the USA, I believe...)

It would likely emit a squeal of delight if it were ever offered fancy accommodation on the west coast

A MITT is either a glove or a nickname. In the US, a semi is usually a semi-trailer, while a duplex is either a semi-detached house or a type of power outlet which provides two sockets or in technical jargon a communication channel which allows bidirectional communication (half-duplex or full-duplex).

My thoughts are that might sound a mite complicated to a European.

And many people worldwide might not CITE the "west coast" of their land mass as a desirable location.
