Webinterface issue ( cannot keep a logged in session)
Hello there,
Today morning started getting a issue opening fastmail web interface trough Firefox, on my desktop pc. Though It was related with a add-on I use ( that loads several tabs at once ) but when removing the fastmail link from it the issue was the same. I tried with Chrome and no error appeared, and then I think I found what is happening. In Firefox I wad the main login page option "keep me logged in" on but not in Chrome. So when I close my Firefox with that option on and then try to reopen a page or even reopen Firefox again I only get a blank page with the word "Loading... " on the upper left side of the screen, looping there without other info. When selected the same option "keep me logged in" in Chrome this error replicated. The only way to make Fastmail web interface working again was to clear the program cookie on both browsers and then make a new login ( without selecting the keep logged option - which I like a lot). Hope someone can help. Regards. Last edited by patricius : 21 Aug 2016 at 09:21 PM. |

Hi there,
Already cleared all history, and all cookies. Didn´t worked. It only works when clearing cookie each and single time, and that surely is not a viable option. It happens on both browsers, so I don´t think is browser related. Until yesterday everything was running fine, and I didn´t install nothing new nor both browsers had a recent update. The purpose of the logged in is the no need of any confirmation. I just open the page and must see the webinterface. No need to confirm anything. Regards |

I posted this problem on 18-August and since another user had the problem I decided to enter a support ticket. The ticket is pending - no resolution yet.
Here is my original post for this issue. We should probably move this discussion to that thread. http://www.emaildiscussions.com/showthread.php?t=72035 |

Hi fmail_fan
Tanks for telling me that. So I ask some moderator to close this thread and point/link to the one you made first. Is this the correct way? Must I also open a support ticket? Regards. |

I've confirmed this issue has been fixed.
One side effect of this problem for me was a list of logged in sessions that had been left behind on the Password & Security page. If you have any you can simply log them out to remove them from the list (enter password at top of page to enable the Logout button). |
