New Webmail theme
After several weeks in the works, our new Webmail theme is now ready for testing!
If you'd like to try it, let us know your Runbox username by contacting Runbox Support. Note that the theme is still being worked on so it might change without prior notice. Once we activate the theme for your account you might have force a refresh (Ctrl + F5 on Windows, Cmd + R on OS X) in your browser to make sure you have the latest versions of the stylesheets and Javascript files on the server. We have spent a lot of time trying to make sure that all the various pages look consistent (which they never really did before), so if you see any anomalies please let us know here. Other things worth mentioning:
If for some reason you would like to change back to the old/default theme you can do that by going to Webmail > Preferences. We have called the theme Aero (because it's blue and spacious, and makes using email a breeze), but if one of you comes up with a better name we might change it. Hope you like it! - Geir |

I've already sent an e-mail asking to be part of the beta team.
Should one use this thread for suggestions/bugs or should one contact you via e-mail? |

I've just looked at it for 10secs or so and I have to say I like the look of it.
Though I've a slight issue, which may not be possible to fix, dunno: https://img.bi/#/b4EyYSI!Mspnw6IULvF...bfctr6L4DSUzWy That was defaulted when I went to the new theme. That means, there's a zoom level that looks okay with the "old" theme but has that issue in the new one. I'm uncomfortable with the way it looks if I click on the "-" in the webclient. I have it zoomed in. EDIT: The "New" and "Total" are not aligned! At-least, they don't look like they are... My OCD is tickling. EDIT 2: If I mark a mail as "Unread", it looks exactly as every other mail.. My unread mails are not getting bold. Last edited by 17pm : 2 Dec 2014 at 02:21 AM. |

17pm: That looks quite wrong -- which browser and zoom level are you using?

My initial review:
I think this change is positive and I don't think anyone will be using the old theme after seeing this one. However, it's, as you said plenty of times, just a theme.. There are still stuff that I wanted to see that did not happen, such as a different way to flag messages. Width of messages: I think it would be interesting to experiment on the max width of messages... It's a fact that it's harder to read longer lines than shorter lines. Perhaps setting a max width for text emails might make the reading of emails smoother. There are many webclients that do this. Compose window: I like the new simpler compose window.. However, it would be nicer if one could expand "one by one"... Also, adding "attachments" to the simple view would be something I'd support.. I really don't like seeing the contact column on the right, everything else was okay, imo. Compose window bug: The bug is still there and it would be cool if you fixed it. I'm talking about this bug. Some additional: - Would it be too hard to make it so the flagged messages go straight to the top? Would be cool if that was possible, as an option of course. - I think having the "flag" as a drop-down is a step back. - I think the "Create folder" and "Rename folder" buttons are way too blue.. They automatically draw my attention to them, and I don't think those buttons deserve such attention. And the most important of all: Browser back button. =(( I'm aware that some of my points are not theme related, but oh well, it's never too much to remind you of that. EDIT: Another minor bug, related to the zoom thingie: https://img.bi/#/7V73aap!CXIX0UALL6E...modktUfXRICocr There's actually 2 problems in that screenshot: - The cutoff of the word "folder" - The boxes are not aligned it seems. GEIR! STOP EVERYTHING!
God damn it.. The "unread" thingie was a problem on my end! I'm using "umatrix", which is kind of "no-script" for chrome and the new theme contacts "webtype.com" for some reason and I was blocking that. This has happened 3 times now. I contact you for a bug and it ends up being my extensions... From now on, everytime I report a bug, you should remind me of my extensions :P |

Are you (17pm) referring to the overlapping of "Preferences" and "Folders" (top left)? If so, I have that problem, too, and my zoom level (in Palemoon/FF) is normal.
