The GOAT,
Perceiving the pathway to dinner, Was struck with astonishment. It was thickly overgrown with weeds. "Ha," he said, "I see that none has passed here In a long time." Later he saw that each weed Was a singular tasty morsel. "Well," he mumbled at last, "Doubtless there are other roads, but I will graze on the one less traveled." |

Mentionning goats, your posts brought to mind the word MOAT, thinking of the fairytale of "The three billy goats gruff".
Yes, I know that was a bridge, but just the connection of the moat being similar to a bridge and rhyming with goat, funny how the mind connects things sometimes, isn't it? |

A BOAT wasn't available to get them across, so they were forced to brave the bridge and the troll.

So, in the end, the troll got the BOOT and the goats got fat. It has been such a long long time since I read that verse that I had almost forgotten it.

When I was a little girl, my mom took several of my friends and myself to watch a live performance of it , as part of my birthday party, and the play was a real HOOT!

MOST such old stories have multiple explanations which are hard to verify.

The goat that won the race (in the clip I posted earlier) was no PUNY weakling. All of the goats in the race had small knitted dolls on their back (to steer them) so would be lacking in direction methinks

Does anyone know if nannies or billies have a go-at Olympics? I kid you knot - no PUNS were injured while being chewed by bearded ruminants as this post was created!

Okay! Switch of topic time then. How about what do we put in our BINS? This is the term used in England for Garbage containers, so besides the obvious rubbish we all put in, what I am wondering is, how many of us are fastidious in separating our actual trash from items that may be recycled?
