I have an account with this service; however, it has been locked for some time for unclear reasons.

I found the service to be extremely generous in its free tier, with only a tiny amount of promotional emails from promotion@mail.ee (item 7.1.2 here https://help.mail.ee/category/10023/question/10599). This can be managed with a filter.

Furthermore, they have services with pretty reasonable costs, which may be regarded to be the lowest right now for domains mail.ee, inbox.lv, inbox.lt, inbox.la, inbox.eu

Given its history and reputation (https://company.inbox.lv/?language=en), I believe this is an end-to-end unencrypted mail provider worth investigating.

One thing I don't like is that they have to verify via Telegram to activate IMAP.

Thanks for the recommendation. I've signed up for an account with mail.ee and indeed and undeniably it's a very generous provider offering 20Gb and POP/IMAP/Aliases for free accounts! I'm genuinely impressed but the interface (web UI) looks dated though, and no preview window is a bummer.

Mail.ee is related to inbox.lv ; I never really researched inbox.lv, is that service reliable? 20 GB for a free service is very generous but worth nothing if the service isn't reliable.

Before giving it a try, I would need to know some things such as inactivity limit, how long the service has been going (and likely to continue operations for the forseeable future), ...

My.com, mail.com and mail.net are very neat domains, but I'm not too sure if the parent company is reliable. My.com (Yandex) is Russian, while I read some very negative reviews about mail.com.
I guess if my concerns would disappear due to some reassuring feedback, I may give it a try. But first service out of this list I may try is mail.be

So I was excited that I still have an account with @inbox.eu and to my surprise I'm able to login with my password from password manager. Good first step right? Then it asked for my phone number to "recover" my account which I say why not? The SMS never arrives and after I switch to a few other numbers it says something like "Too many attempts to change number. Please try again later".

I came back later (after an hour) and guess what? My username has been blocked from login. Tried contacted support and haven't heard back (after 2 days). Anyone has a legacy/grandfathered @inbox.eu and can you tell me about it? It was on free plan back then but I see now it only offers paid plan which starts at £9.99/year for 100Gb which is not bad but still I would really interested to see if they upgraded my free plan as well
