Mulberry, OTH, is completely dedicated to the IMAP-protocol and that alone could compensate a great deal for any lack in interface-elegance, IMO. For instance, the newest beta introduces eight customizable IMAP-labels. |

In the few days I have had to try it out I have been impressed with Thunderbird, and with even less time spent on Mulberry it also looks promising although I'm bitterly disappointed that it has no native proxy or socks support, which makes it that much harder to use behind many layers of security in an office environment.

Tough question!
Although I've never tried Mulberry or Becky (never heard of this one till today). On the paying level I've given PocoMail3 a spin and it's improved it's IMAP capabilities. I like it especially for it's speed and low usage of my PC's resources. They also have a user forum which I think is always nice to have with good interaction.
On the free level, I've come to appreciate OE which I find still very good even if it does use a bit of your PC's energies. Mozilla's Mail client is good too and Mozillazine's or Mozilla's forums are good places to find help. Others are simply not rendering IMAP yet, although I still hope Pegasus will soon. |

Pegasus does IMAP
Hi janniklindquist,
Pegasus does IMAP4 - c'est la même chose? Is that the same as IMAP? |

I believe IMAP4 is the latest implementation release of the IMAP protocol.

IMAP4
I remembered reading that IMAP4 was a different protocol and so I made the assumption that it wasn't IMAP. Guess I'll have to re-visit Pegasus!

I like PC-Pine. If you don't need an offline capability, and you're not obsessed with eye-candy then it's a pretty good client.
