Account rename?

Just curious (for the time being): Is it possible to have my account renamed?

Yes, you can get your account renamed. To do this you would submit a support request at https://support.runbox.com

Is this a smooth transition? Are there any hang-ups that a person should be aware of before doing this?

They can change your account/primary address and also add your existing email address as an alias so you would still get all your emails initially

You could eventually delete that alias once you're sure all your legit contacts have your new address.

If you have filters that specifically check for your email address you would have to manually update those to your new address.

Can't think of anything else at the moment that would be effected.
