How may I search all folders?

Search defaults to no Spam, no Trash, and I can find no way to add them. in:Spam cannot /add/ ISTM.

Any ideas?

Advanced search has an option to include those folders.

Fastmail help has the answer. From search help:
Quote:
By default, all folders except shared folders, Spam, and Trash will be searched. If you are viewing one of those folders, then only that folder will be searched. If you want your search results to include Spam and Trash, add in:* to the end of your search.

Thanks - though it adds both Spam and Trash, not allowing just one.

Also it is broken in that it also adds Drafts and Archive.

Which may be related to the fact "All mail" is broken - by default, it includes only the Inbox i.e. comparing https://i.imgur.com/htW42XH.png with https://i.imgur.com/DwKF19O.png show results identical.

Quite the muddle

Back to the question though. Now I see my "in:Spam cannot /add/" is incorrect. For inbox "OR in:Spam" does not work - OR is ignored, without even an error. But "in:inbox OR in:Spam" works. So there's no fixed solution in general, but "OR in:Spam" works when adapted as needed.

Thanks again both.
