3. You can still log in to multiple different accounts

We still support the ability to log in to multiple different user accounts
at the same time on the same device/browser.
This doesn't work seem to work for me personally.

likewise, where is the searching? that's even less excusable. i simply cannot search any of my email in the beta!
It's probably "Beta" for a reason.

4. open the draft in the beta interface and your image is there

I've not attempted the opposite which is to create a draft in the beta with everything but the image and then open that draft in the current version and then add the image but it likely works.

I've done this for a number of items that exist in the current version but that are so far not in the beta and it does work.

click on this to see an image of a beta email with inline image
my mind must have been elsewhere. the obvious answer is to simply add some html that looks like this

<img src="url" alt="some_text">

works great, being lazy I've added the html to my text expander (dashexpander) so I don't have to remember the syntax

but you can't put any html in the beta either. the rich text editor doesn't have source editing. or am i missing that?

I'm able to put html in the beta editor, not sure why you can't, I just pasted it in

where? it just pastes it as text (eg doesn't process it) in both Rich text and Plain text mode.

nope! they have repeatedly said in this thread that there is no good public issue tracker, and that they explicitly will not be responsive to questions or concerns because they are too busy working on it.

quite angering, but at least they're honest about it.

I've tried to recreate how I created this email to myself which I created using the method I described, using img=, and now I cannot re-create it.

I have no explanation for why I was able to do it one time and not another.

and yet I just sent myself this which was created through clicking the link button on the beta rich text interface. sometimes it sends stuff inline and sometimes as an attachment - when I look in my sent mail it shows inline and as an attachment

that's why it's beta I guess.

try this -
create text message (not rich) and include html for image (here's mine)
hit the make rich text button (what it then looked like)
send message, this is what I received

again, not how you would do it in the release version but at least in can be done

Exclamation Keyboard Shortcuts for beta-interface

Hi,
I started a new wiki page for documenting the keyboard shortcuts in the new beta.fastmail.fm
For now I only copied a few entries (those which still work, as far as I know) from the old wiki page (and added a comment and a link there), please contribute more if you like.
Here is the link:
http://fastmail.wikia.com/wiki/KeyboardShortcuts
Thanks,
Thomas

P.S.: Is there a list of the keyboard shortcuts somewhere here in the forum? I could not find anything right away.

I have a lot (more than 200) folders.
Using the 'g' shortcut displays all of them, but I can't scroll down...

Using the g shortcut produces a folder search box and displays all folders in the tree (including hidden folders). While in this folder search mode:
  • You can enter the first few characters of the folder name to see only those folders which match that substring. The match is at the start of any word in the folder name.
  • You can use the up/down keys to move the folder highlight to a desired on-screen folder, but this currently doesn't scroll (at least not in Firefox).
  • You can use the scroll wheel of your mouse (if available) or the scroll bar at the right side of the folder list to scroll to any folder.
  • Once the desired folder is highlighted, use the Enter key or click on that folder to display the contents.
