How to change Gmail themes in Windows 8.1

Hello,

Bought a new laptop with Windows 8.1.
Installed Google Chrome and use Gmail.
If I want to change the Gmail theme (the way I used before in Windows 7 Home Premium) it doesn't work.

What to do : tried already a lot of things, but no result up to now.

To change your Gmail theme you can do that by:
1. Going into your Gmail account
2. Clicking on the Gears in the top right hand corner
3. Clicking on Settings
4. Clicking on the Themes tab

What you suggest, I tried several times without result.

Now, I found the solution : very simple : just disconnect in Google Chrome the extension "Google Redesigned ", if installed !

I'm glad you were able to figure it out!

You can simple login to your gmail and in settings you can change the theme as your wish, There is no relation between changing themes in gmail and windows 8.1 !!!

You are right if you are not using Google Chrome : for example : it works with Internet Explorer.
If you use Google Chrome, the solution I suggested before seems to me the only one possible.
