I see that Flags have been added to the main server also (previously it was only on the beta server). Cool!

NOT necessarily!!!!.... cant we have the flags and attatchements in the same column... if there is a flag as well as an attatchment then put a hyperlink on the flag and voila.... personally speaking I dont like crowding the interface.... the from column gets truncated... blahhhhh Jinu Johnson |

What's that 'F' doing in the column header ? Does that mean Flags ??
Maybe the answered flag can also be made a hyperlink. It can point to the reply to the mail. Guke |

Is there going to be an official annoucement of how all this stuff works (referring more to the new flags set-up)? |

It seems all HTML messages are now displayed in frame view ... before, many were shown using inline unless some thing like web bugs or goofy css settings were detected. How do we set that type of mode back to default?

It really needs a default view for HTML mail in the [options] screen.... And although the "print view" works well for text emails, when you display an email with an HTML part it seems to display the source rather than the pretty formatted version of the HTML....

when you are viewing a message, just above where it says "From" and to the left of the "Show Full Header" link... Currently mine defaults to [text only] although if there is HTML you can change it to that. You can also see the raw message view and a "Print View" which is handy if you want to print the email without all the FM header and footer text....

We tried putting the attachment and replied flag in the same column, but it looked funny because they're not necessarily lined up in a column.
It really doesn't use much more space. With just 'A' and 'F' for the headings, and if you turn the '?' off, it's no wider at all. With regard to the HTML vs Txt, the choice of 'frame' vs 'inline' is decided by FastMail depending on how 'complex' the HTML is. Basically inline is preferred, and for simple messages, that's what it uses. For more complex messages with style information that would break standard inline formatting, it uses the frame formatting. It's not something you should need to pick as a default. Rob |
