Weird search issue

Example: just tried doing:
query: to:stiletto

My account dates back to 2002 and contains ... a lot of messages. But my results only go back to March 2010 and 785 results? I should be getting much, much more than that.

Need a developer to poke their head in here...

Did you search all folders?

No, just searching Inbox. I should be getting thousands of results. (Yeah, I kinda don't delete much. Inbox has 80000 messages in it. I'm sure they love me.

)

Something similar is happening in my Sent box.

If I had to guess, if they pre-index the messages for when you run searches, then my index is corrupt and needs to be rebuilt.

Either that or they now have hidden limitations on search queries.

I'm no noob, this really needs escalated to Fastmail staff.

I was right and it was a corrupt index. Fastmail staff has fixed it for me.
