Mailing list spam
My son has a Fastmail account. Suddenly he has hundreds of emails signing him up to mailing lists. They are in English, French, Swedish and other languages. This is rendering his account unusable.
They have nothing in common with each other and it doesn't seem feasible to set up a filter. There's no evidence that it's Fastmail specific. Is there any defence against this sort of spam? |

Try activating "reject messages from people not in your address book". I don't know whether this is possible with Fastmail.
Besides, this is very restrictive so I would keep it on for a couple of days only. Quite often those types of attacks do not last very long. |
