Exclamation Searching for an Email/Calender..

Hey Everyone,

I am a very satisfied runbox user.. But I need a calendar. In an email account. I know Gawab has one, but any realiable FREE email account that has a good calender. One thats easily readable. If you knew MailService I really liked there calender. If anyone could list some Free Email Providers with Calenders I would really appreciate it. Thanks everyone,

Yahoo, Junglemate.com, Centralpets.com, Hotmail (but I think I just read someplace that hotmail will be dropping alerts unless you are signed up for MSN 8.) Have you tried any of those? Mailsnare has the exact same calendar that Mailservice had, but it isn't free. What about vfemail? I haven't tried it, but it is the horde interface...it should be the same as the one mailservice had.

Thanks SAS, I may just stick with Gawabs, or ask Zworg if they will be getting one soon. I would want more space then the ones you listed, mailsnare is pay, and I dont like vfemail because of the domain, any more Calender email services welcome, I checking all suggestions.

I use Anytimenow.com as a backup but I just saw there's just a 'Maintenance in progress' sign on the site just now. Hope it's not there for long.

Unhappy

Sorry, Spin, Anytime.now just came back online. Guess what! Now they're charging $22.99 per year. And I can't even get back in to pull out my stuff! Grrrr!

Oh that's great. <sarcasm> Give a free account, let you load it all with data, then go down for maintenance, and when they come back up you find your data held hostage and want you to pay a fee to get it back. Yep. Real integrity there.

I predicted the shift to paid-only at anytimenow.com back in 2001!

Eerie...<Twilight Zone music playing in the distance>...how on target that prediction was.

I don't see why companies like this can't give at least a small notice (10 days if they're greedy, 30 days to be nice). I had similar experiences with several services - like the drive space services. I lost all my data that was backed up there, and also a photo account that had a bunch of photos. No warning, just gone. At least if you like AnyTimeNow and want to pay for it, you can go in and get your data. I guess that's better than just shutting down with no recourse for data recovery. Still it's unacceptable business practice.

I hope I'm not jumping the gun here with Anytimenow.com. It says that it will give existing users 30 free days of reduced service. However, my usename and password won't get me in, so it's no help. Lucky for me, everything in there is a copy - but some may suffer.

Fine.

Signup
http://mail.piecu.net:100/ezsignup/piecu_signup.html

Mail Login

Calendar Login
http://mail.piecu.net:8484/login.cgi

There are many choices.

This one doesn't have KillerWebMail templates, but also has POP3 & IMAP access.

And of course, that USERNAME-FOLDER@Domain.tld trick. . .

Spin I forgot to tell you about OnlineHomeBase I've posted about it in the past - I use it daily and it works great. I use it in conjunction with Fastmail and it works well for me. Check it out!
