I also found this: http://alternativeto.net/software/fastmail/ which may be a good starting point when looking for something different. The pain though is in learning the intricacies of yet another interface. FastMail was, I thought, the one thing I could rely on in the online world but my faith has been destroyed and all the work I put in to getting it just the way I wanted and training everyone from my 8 year old son to my 87 year old father has gone up in a puff of cyberware! |

With respect you may find this:-
http://www.emaildiscussions.com/forumdisplay.php?f=8 more usefull. I suggest you look at (in more particular order):- RunBox POBox Polaris Mail EuMX Tuffmail LuxSci Safe Mail For what it's worth I have had a POBox account in parallel with FastMail for 10 years or so; and during that time have had accounts with Tuffmail & RunBox. Thanks for this NJSS - I've been with FM since 2000 (!!!) and it really is time to bounce. What has the best webmail interface in your opinion?

You are not going to like this, but for me FastMail Classic. All my email goes to POBox, is despammed there, and is forwarded to my FM & RunBox accounts. I would suggest that if you must move a POBox account is the first step, you can then forward to FM, and continue as is whilst you try out some of the others. The elegant redundancy is reassuring, there is of course a single point of failure, but POBox have an enviable record of uptime. NJSS |
