Months? You are not alone. But on Hotmail's home page they said you have to wait 30days for the account to upgrade.

They do indicate. However it still up to them to see who qualifies for the upgrade.

So why not just forget about hotmail and use yahoo instead? Since I can't think of a single thing you can do with a hotmail account that you can't do as well or better with yahoo, this is just one of many ways in which the latter is superior - vastly superior, IMO.

But still crappy. Both of them are in their own ways.

One thing makes Hotmail different though---HTTP access. Which is only availiable to premium users.

Other than that, Yahoo as the other features. But the same amount of falsely marked spam/falsely unmarked spam/hordes of spam you never asked for.

webnote, it looks like you don't qualify because you are in Singapore.

it's all about Faith.

they are a big organisation.

increasing email size for everyone is not something tat they are lacking of resources to do so. juz feel tat they r kind of disorganise comparing to other reputable email providers as in yahoo, lycos.co.uk, netscape, etc.

juz can't figure out y can't they resolve it quickly enuf hence it's maddening really to think of their 'ordeal'.

Exactly. I was comparing only their free services, since I asumed that's what webnote was talking about with only a 2MB mailbox. If we're talking about the paid versions, of course the paid yahoo.com has POP3, giving hotmail's HTTP access no advantage AFAIK.

And of course I didn't say yahoo was "good", just that it's vastly superior (IMO) to hotmail. But then, it doesn't take much to be vastly superior to hotmail.

Please allow at least 30 days for activation of your 250MB storage to verify your e-mail account and help prevent abuse.
Microsoft never "misleads". They just put the details in very fine print.
