Literary bonus: The Machine Stops

I've been thinking of this story a lot lately, with so many of us connecting only via the internet, especially with the isolation of the pandemic, and thought I'd share if, in case anyone hasn't read it and is interested. It's over a century old, and is considered to be one fo the first literary examples of science fiction.

Thanks for the share. It was your statement of 'one of the first literary examples of science fiction' that caught my eye. I'm sure I'll like it. Thanks again.

Actually I liked it. I already read it twice last month. The second time aloud to all my family, which is something I do sometimes when we're on the road and I'm not driving.

Lol. Thanks, Bruce. I enjoyed the novelty of the reading-in-progress posts.
