Family account how to change renewal period?

When setting up a family account, I chose 3month as my renewal period, because I wanted to just give it a try. if I want to be billed annually, I can't find where I can set it in the settings. It only allows me to choose account types (lite, standard, superior) but only with 3m renewal period.

How do I change the period to 1 year?

You should be able to change it under: Manage > Family > Family Preferences.

Thank you very much. Strangely, I overlooked that section.

Is there any facility to select a longer period? I would consider two or possibly three years.

I believe you can only do 1 year at a time with a family account. Please correct me if wrong. However, you could always add funds to your account so that when time does come to renew, it will simply subtract from the funds on hand rather than bill your card, etc... so in a way, that's pre-paying it for longer than 1 year.

I was actually thinking more of a financial incentive for committing to a longer service subscription than anything else - something that has been advertised before, here and here.

Now I see what you mean. Yeah, that is a good promotion, never knew they did that.
