Fastmail SMTP down?

I'm suddenly getting an error message from Apple Mail:

Quote:

Cannot send message using the server Fastmail SMTP

Connections to host mail.messagingengine.com on the default ports failed.

All other Internet functionality is working fine.

If you are still experiencing the issue, it may be because Apple Mail has managed to corrupt its SMTP settings. I have twice seen that happen. If so, removing and recreating the account should fix it.

Yep, it seems to have been a problem with Apple Mail. After a while it couldn't fetch mail either. I restarted the app, and it was fine after that.
