The last few days AK and VK are having alot of problems!!! (Slow . time outs -- "Server too busy try later" etc) -- It started after he upgraded the server on all his sites!

EDIT:

For the last 1/2 hour i couldnt get here.. Kept getting "The site is shut for maintence..........." is this the same as getting a "Server too busy try later" Edwin??

In case you hadn't notice, your response to oslostock in the "testimonials" was purposely removed... maybe other random posting that is against FM.

There's something weird going on with the DNS that I can't put my finger on.

The old forum is on the old server, and shut - the "Closed for maintenance" message (but the server iself is still running).

So if the DNS for emaildiscussions.com gets resolved (locally for you) to the old IP address, you'll see the "Closed for maintenance" message.

If it gets resolved to the new IP address, you'll be here on the open forum on the new hosting platform.

I imagine there must be all kinds of caches in place that various ISPs have running, and perhaps some take days or even weeks to fully flush old DNS data?

I find that using Google's DNS servers always affords me to most current information. The local ISPs are often lagging. Read some info on how to set the Google DNS service:

The list being followed currently contains:

Fastmail, PolarisMail, Runbox, Roller Network, Hushmail, Pobox, Gmail, EuMX, Tuffmail and AOL Mail.

If you know of any other e-mail providers that also "tweet", please let me know and I'll add them to the list.

They've tweeted once, in December 2011:

Slashmail is now on Twitter! We will be sharing news regarding our email service from time to time.

Now added - let's hope we get some news from them soon.

Also now added GMX Mail.

Thanks, Berenburger.

I thought it was about time I updated this web page, so I've just added these providers to the list:

mailbox.org, ProtonMail, SCRYPTmail and Tutanota.

PS: You don't need a Twitter account to view this page.

FYI, It's coming up on 8 years since I created this Twitter account, as a companion to the forum, and at a time when the forum was experiencing difficulties.

Unfortunately it's not been that successful over those 8 years, as there are only 43 followers of the account.
