Thumbs up Solved: Gmail messages not being picked up by Fastmail

Hi,

I have given Fastmail access to my Google account so that I can receive and reply to email sent to my legacy Gmail address. However, this week two important emails in my Gmail inbox weren't picked up by Fastmail - other emails were, but these two emails (both from the same sender) just sat unread in my Gmail inbox.

Any thoughts on why this might have happened?

Thanks,

A

Check Fastmail's Spam folder to see if they are in there.

How are you making the messages available to Fastmail? Are you forwarding the messages from Google to Fastmail, or relying on POP retrieval?

Hi - Fastmail is pulling in the emails after I set it up with POP/IMAP in the normal manner. Gmail isn't forwarding the emails.

Thanks.

False alarm - my fault, a Gmail filter was acting on a keyword to make the emails bypass the inbox

Thanks all!

But you previously wrote that they "sat unread in my Gmail inbox"

That is true, but I was getting confused via Gmail sorting email into 'Important' and 'Priority' tabs, etc. That made it difficult to see where the emails actually we're.
