Ready to celebrate 100,000

I notice we're very close to 100,000 posts on the site. We will all have to keep an eye on it and have a celebration. Unfortunately I'll probably miss it as I'll be away for the weekend.

That is what my screen read at GMT 0441 hrs 28/3/03.

I wonder what the explanation is.

Off-topic forum posts don't count towards individual post titles ("Junior Member", "Member" etc.) but an unavoidable side-effect of this (since the counter system is integrated) is that they are also not reflected in the overall post count.

That's OK but why are lux and I seeing different counts. Or is he calculating his separately?

Jeff

Edit I think I understand - he is adding the column up of the posts in each forum whereas I was looking at the number down the bottom of the screen. Still can't we celebrate 100,000 on-topic posts?

Jeff

A celebration is definitely required - it's a big number! 200 to go!

Hmmmm... couldn't we have a small interim celebration at say, 200,000? I could be dead before we hit 7 digits!

For how long did it take to reak 100,000?? The 7 digits should be within 5 years? or even more??
