I admit I know little about wiki policies, but it does seem unfortunate that this (supposedly) inaccurate information is there, and a company like Runbox would or could not seek to update it.

Perhaps they're a bit slow in this respect also, as they seem to be in others.

For example, I wonder if the graffiti in the photo (posted here previously) has been removed yet. After all, the photo dates from June 2009!

You will find details about our team here -- basically we are the same people who have run the service since 2000: http://www.runbox.com/about/runbox-team/

The major difference is that the people who run the service now also own and control the company behind it.

Here you'll find some more about what we're working on -- the post is still valid because we've had to spend a lot of time the past couple of months on administrative stuff and finalizing the cut-off between the old company and the new Runbox Solutions. We should be done with this process (which has taken more than a year in total) by the end of June, after which the "reboot" will be complete.

We have considered updating our Wikipedia article, but as mentioned we could get in trouble because we don't have a neutral point of view. Also, the entry concerns both Runbox the (old) company and Runbox the service, so it's not clear whether it should be rewritten or just updated.

And by the way, we are only renting offices in the building shown on the map -- but it's in a very nice neighborhood and there are people who tend to cleaning and such.

The ad appears immediately after you finish the signup process. I don't know where else it might be hidden. Why don't you ask Runbox support?

Hmm, i first sign on for a 30-day-trial, and, as i see everything with my domain is fine, then i pay for the account. perhaps this was the reason. I will send a ticket.

Regards, Quincy

Last time I had a trial account, the batch job that extended my subscription ran in the middle of the night, so the extension was not immediately visible.

Quincy, I have spotted your support tickets about your account. It is still showing as a trial account at the moment. I will bring this to the attention of the person who deals with this.

Best wishes,
Dave

That's correct. There is a deliberate delay to prevent spammers from paying for an account and then using it immediately. If a genuine user has an urgent need to use their account sooner (and we have no reason to believe they are a spammer) we can update the account sooner.

Hello Dave, that was really a quick reaction. My ticket is solved, everything looks now as I had expected it. Really fast, thank you.

I second this. I like the look of Runbox Medium but it's a deal breaker to pay an extra $20 a year to add domains that every other mail service I've looked at recently doesn't charge for.

That is correct. Right now I have no problems so when I have my other domains to another provider. But if I put together all the time willing, I'll probably have to go back to the search.

Happy with Runbox

I run my personal and small business email through Runbox. I moved in May from a privately run system, and have been very happy with everything.

I narrowed my choice down to Fastmail and Runbox. I actually signed up with Fastmail but after billing problems ended up with Runbox. Support has been satisfactory (though I've had no urgent issues that needed immediate attention).

Some of their tools could do with small usability improvements, but these are relatively minor, and support has got back to me when I've had problems.

Overall, the most important part, solid and reliable email, has been working as it should.

I wasn't aware before I signed that their entire server park is hydro powered, and was very happy to find that out!

Thats really great!

I'm testing currently also just create a new email provider to find. Right now I like runbox quite well. I test again polarismail, but it bothers me a bit there, that there are 3 logins for webmail, user panel and admin panel.

In the filtering options can runbox not nearly match those of fastmail. Also today was runbox not be reached for 20 minutes, which makes me wonder.

Luxsci is definitely too expensive and at times only eumx scares me from the creepy homepage.

You may come gmx or domainfactory in question.

Agreed, in particular "Liz." She is a combination CSR/Tech. Support Rep./Billing Rep. An absolute pleasure to deal with.

If it wasn't for the limited space and expensive subscription, I'd probably use them for other than back-up purposes.

This is the new company, Runbox Solutions AS, that runs the Runbox service: http://www.proff.no/selskap/runbox-s...ning/Z0I5S340/

The old company has changed name and can be found here: http://www.proff.no/selskap/internet...o/-/979474598/
