'HTML mail disabled' message is finally gone!

I haven't tried for a while so I don't know how long this has been the case, but as of today, I can once again log into vmail.me. More important, the 'HTML disabled' announcement is finally gone, and messages in the inbox and sent folder can finally be read. I have not yet tested the service further, but at least there seem to be signs of life. On the other hand, even if it works now, can it ever be trusted, after almost six months of remaining totally unusable?

The 'compose' button is still there, at least for me (at the upper right -- a blue rectangle).

The 'options' button is still missing, however (and indeed has not been there for many months, although it is visible in a screenshot on one of the informational pages). Also, there is still no ability to forward mail and perform similar routine tasks. The only thing that has changed for the better is the long-awaited disappearance of the 'HTML mail temporarily disabled' notice, so the text of mails can finally be read, but the service is still crippled in numerous ways. I had assumed it was probably abandoned by its developers and dead in the water, but apparently there may be a grudging trickle of improvement every five or six months or so. At that rate, the service might actually be usable in several years!

I tested today and it looks like it always have?
But feel unsure of if it can do HTML the emails
that I open look very different from email on
other providers like fastmail or gmail.

So maybe them still have some problem with
html code them not expected. Different standards?
I have not tested to send and receive I'm too lazy

That works better on my computer.
I use latest? FireFox browser and
I logged in and replied to an email
I've sent from GMX.com and then
instantly received that at GMX
and replied from GMX to VMail and
that got into the inbox instantly
and could be read and deleted
so seems it works.

Roundcube on my browser require
double click for to open an email.

Is that something on can change to single click?

so now I have a working VMail.me with 500MB storage
that works rather fast. what do we know about them?

Which country are they in and do they have enough money
to keep it going and such?

Edit Corrected to the actual storage of 500 MB
I must have misunderstood some message somewhere. Sorry

vmail.me with 3gb storage? Where can you find out this information? They introduced a new (?) 500 MB plan, and I guess this is the default storage for all users, isnt it?

rc direct login is: https://www.vmail.me/webmail/

Maybe they forgot to delete that text then
but as I remember it told me that today when logged in.

Where do you see the 500MB then? Could it differ dependent
on where one live? Okay I log in again and try to find that text.
I get back

Edit. You sure are right. 500 MB is for the free account.

I must have read some ad on an email I sent from another email provider
and not realize that text where not about VMail.me I do apology for
being too hasty and thus misleading I try to edit that post of mine.

What's the minimum Safari version that works with Roundcube 8?

When Eumx recently updated to RC8, I noticed that although I could log in and reach the interface, all controls were frozen and I couldn't do anything. I assume this was because my browser version was too old to be compatible with the latest Roundcube version. Now that Vmail.me has upgraded to RC8, exactly the same thing is true for me -- I go there, but it's frozen. With Eumx, I have a choice of other interfaces which still work fine for me, but with Vmail.me, Roundcube is the only webmail interface, so I either have to upgrade or forget about Vmail.me entirely. Does anyone happen to know which version of Safari is the minimum requirement for using Roundcube 8? (I'm not sure if Vmail is worth the upgrade for that purpose only, but I reckon I'll have to do it sooner or later anyway.)

Not without also installing an OSX upgrade, which is not something I am prepared or inclined to do just yet. (The latest version of Safari is only compatible with very recent versions of OSX.)

Actually, it is possible that the freeze I am experiencing when trying to use RoundCube 8 may be the result of my older OS and may not be related to the Safari version. So far my research has not enlightened me on this point.

There doesn't seem to have been any interest in this thread recently, but in case it is relevant or helpful for anyone to know, I have discovered that the function freeze I mentioned that affected the RoundCube8 interface when I logged on to it can be worked around by clicking on "manage folders" in the drop-down menu at the lower left, then clicking on "preferences," then selecting "user interface skin" and changing the default from "larry" (whatever on earth that means -- the current interface, I reckon) to "classic," then clicking "save." After a few seconds the display shifts to what looks like an earlier version of RoundCube before the upgrade, but which may perhaps be the latest version with a "retro" look. In any case, once all of that has been done, things function properly and mail can be sent and received. The only function that is still inoperative is the ability to create identities -- selecting "identities" from the "settings" menu brings up a page with the UserID at the head of the space on the left where new identities would be listed after creation, but the plus sign at the bottom that was used in the old RoundCube to add an identity is not there, so there is no way to add anything. In this case that is no great loss, at least not for me. In any event, the service is now usable, but I don't know how stable this state of affairs may be, so I would advise users to proceed with caution.

Addendum: the above applies to vmail.me. It then seemed like a good idea to try it at eumx as well, where I had the same problem using the RoundCube interface after the upgrade. This workaround was effective at eumx as well.

I would never buy an Apple product
but if somebody give one for free
it is good to know how to do a work around
if it freeze

Yeah I know a lot of Swedes just love Apple
they not only love it they are absolute Fanboys

In our schools every kid have an Iphone. Nothing else
are okay to them. Total hysteria.
