Image appeared as thumbnail on email send?
I had one client complain that when he received an email, there was one image that showed up as a thumbnail/ it was compressed. all the other images were fine. no one else had this issue. we can't replicate it. any ideas as to why that one image appeared as a thumbnail for him?

Welcome to the EMD Forums, Annas!
Your message is in a forum which doesn't get very much traffic, since it's mainly for technical issues for email providers. My guess is that the email client or webmail service didn't display that image due to the size or the image type. Some email clients have predefined or user defined limits which prevent display of large images or attachments unless overridden by the user. And some email clients may not be able to display certain image types. It should be very easy to send that image in another simple email to the person and see if it arrives. You can check to see the image type and ask the recipient which email client they use (or which webmail system). Some systems may not display embedded images properly, so you may have to attach the image file instead. Without knowing more details I'm just guessing about possible reasons. Bill |
