Firewall rules changed

Bron has been working on refactoring all our firewall rules to be stricter, safer and saner than the slightly hodgepodge version that had grown over the years.

He's now done that, and rolled out the results today. The net effect is that users should see absolutely no change at all, everything should be working just as it was.

However, just in case anyone does see a new problem that started in the last 3 hours (eg suddenly can't connect to some port that was previously fine), please report it to this thread and we'll look into it ASAP.

Since about 5 minutes I am not able to log into the web interface anymore (over https connection). Was still fine about 20 minutes ago.

The message I get is:
Quote:
MessagingEngine.com Server Outage

Please check back in a few minutes to access your email.

(I am behind a corporate firewall at work which - I think - only allows http connections)

Seems to be working again...

Edit: sorry I was too fast, the problem is intermittent (sometimes I can log in, then suddenly I get the above message when checking all my pop links, and I can't login anymore).

OK. Here's the thread. I think there's an outage, at least for some users.

Coincidental timing, one of the web servers started playing up oddly. I've taken it out of service while I investigate.
