email tracking/reminder program

I recently had someone ask me if there was a program that would send the user an alert if they have sent an email and it was not responded to in ten days. And a few other things very similar to this. Is there such a thing? If not would anyone have any ideas on an email program to start with to build a plugin type program for?

gawab.com not sure if it works when mail is read in double pain.

You have to check off on the bottom of the email that you want to get a notification.
