HELP wi group emails pls. Puppies about to birth so in a hurry. Work B4 birth!

Hi everyone, I have a bunch of job applicants. I want to send a group email for directions etc. Is there a way to add the email address to a group without opening the email? If not, is there a way to open the email & click & have the email automatically ad to the group? Could someone pls send me a link to the instructions or give me some quick step by step instructions? I'm pretty smart but am a gray haired non techi without the mutant cpu gene in my system. I don't want to know why things happen but just the steps of what to do in kindergarten, non techi type language without acronyms pls. Thx in advance . Puppy love from InventingJoy & Furry Folk
PS. Puppies are about to be born any minute so I'm kind of in a hurry to get the group email out before the birthing starts!

Welcome to the EMD Forums! We need to know a little more before anyone can give you directions:
  • Are you using an email client program on your PC (such as Outlook), or do you use webmail using a web browser (such as Internet Explorer)?
  • Who is your email provider? Is it your ISP (phone or cable company) or some other company (such as Google Gmail, Yahoo Mail, or Microsoft Hotmail)?
  • Do you want to take an existing email which already has the directions and forward it to the other people? Or do you want to create a new email and enter the directions yourself, or add a link to a website which has the map or instructions?
If you have an existing email with the directions, you can just forward it to the individuals. It's best to place their email addresses in the BCC field if they don't know each other, since this hides the email addresses from others.

Thx for taking the time to reply Bill, Well, There certainly are a lot of options. The mere thought says "learning curve, learning curve"! Actually, I forwarded the applicants from an email account bcs there were too many confusing emails. & gmail combines everyone from 1 subject into a long conversation. Also, I don't know when you reply if its to everyone or 1 person. I'm just trying to simplify my life.
In my rush against nature, I finally just went into each email & copied the email address into excel with a coma & then copied the colum into compose. Yes, used bcc. But, when I checked sent, it didn't seem to send. So I gave up & did the same thing in google & they went out.
But what I'd like to do, is upon receiving the applications, just press a button so the email becomes part of a group & then compose emails, attachments etc & send them out to the group. Can that happen?
So now I have even more questions.
1. When I copy the addresses into the to: line, how do I make it go out? What did I do wrong?
2. Is there a more efficient way of doing this that doesn't involve a huge learning curve?

If I sound like I'm in overwhelm, it might be bcs its true. I'm doing a remodel on my house. The Contractor left in the middle of an electrical upgrade. I'm trying to hire a reasonably priced electrician, the Divas of the trade. I copy an email invite & attach scope of work, directions to my house & sometimes a third attachment.
To answer your questions. I have WiFi from Time Warner for which I pay far too much & that is supposed to be fast, but doesn't crash as often as most.

I don't know how to use outlook but I think I used to know. But is it more efficient to transfer email info from the applications to OUtlook? That's the time consuming part. Also, once I forward the email, which is the application, then you can't use reply or it comes back to me. I have to go in & copy the email . That's a real paiin bcs some cute techi's now hide the email behind the name which has me pounding on the keys until I can figure out, well I haven't figured it out, actually, but do it enough times then the email shows up which which I can then copy.
At this time, my applications go via email from Craigslist to whatever email I give as contact. Right now its Gmail. But some go to yahoo, bcs that's my reply in CL. next time maybe fastmail, if I can find a more efficient method of using it. I'm a fan of 1 button transfer of info without too much brain taxing thought.
Email providers: I have emails at gmail, yahoo, Go Daddy, Fastmail & ones I never use with my web site provider: Your Host. Now that I've probably completely confused the issue, I'm open for suggestions. Thx everyone, in advance for input Puppy love from InventingJoy & Furry Folk
btw, If what I want, doesn't exist, how about someone writing the program. I'll buy it. Its cheaper than the hair I've been pulling out of my head & would certainly save a lot of time for business people.

PPS You know, I used to know a lot of ways of doing this efficiently but the technology keeps changing so fast that every time I have a project, I have to take a huge amount of time learning new procedures. Is it any wonder I'm in overwhelm? Am I alone in this predicament? Anyone else have this problem?

I have one friendly suggestion: Don't post anything in your posts except the minimum needed for others to understand your problem. The other information will cause readers to skip your post. Asking 25 questions in a post won't get you many willing to answer.

If you want to send email to a group, there are several choices.
  • Gmail webmail: https://support.google.com/mail/answer/30973?hl=en
  • Fastmail webmail: You similarly set up a group in Contacts, then enter the first few letters of the group name in To, CC, or BCC.
  • You can also set things up in Outlook (if you have this installed on your PC). In that case, you need to get your addresses into the Outlook address book.

Those ideas R helpful but need

Thx for your help. Those R excellent suggestions & I can use them.

1. Is there any method of clicking on the incoming email (sent to me) & thereby saving the email address of the email in a contact list? After that I can use your suggestion for setting up the group email?

2. Can anyone tell me why my email didn't go out from fastmail? Is there a limit on how many you can send out of fastmail? Or maybe i made a different error that i'm not aware of.
