fastmail.net and sending on Motorola Q
I have been using my work pop account as my incoming server and www.messagingengine.com as my outgoing for a long time with no issues on a Palm TX with Snappermail.
I then got a Motorola Q (with the update pre-installed) and used it till my heart's content until yesterday, when I became unable to send. I receive onto the Q fine, but all of my outgoing messages are in the Outbox. I have an Error Message regarding problems "downloading" and telling me to make sure I have service on my network. My settings are Outgoing server mail.messagingengine.com Outgoing server requires authentication Use different user name for outgoing server User name me@fastmail.net Password (I just had it sent to me to make sure) Domain if necessary BLANK Require SSL connection BLANK The Qusers.com forum tells folks with this issue to use a verizon text account as Outgoing. Any ideas on why messagingengine.com would suddenly quit on me? Thanks! |

No idea, nothing has changed here.
Can you try restarting your phone? Maybe they started blocking port 25. Is there a place in the phone you can specify the SMTP port to use? If so, try changing it to 26. Rob |
