FM is generally quite good about explaining what happened in outages--especially compared to other providers that often provide no information. However, they may have jinxed themselves with this statement: "Given that this has never happened before in the over 15 years we have been with NYI, we’re confident that it won’t happen again." I suggest that people who have been struck by lightning multiple times also confidently state the same thing after the first one! Read about Roy Sullivan who was struck 7 times and survived all of them.
