I respectfully disagree. To me the thread died because nobody from Runbox responded or offered a status. Personally, while it helps to know other users are in the same situation, and may even be entertaining at times, discussing an outage among users without Runbox's input is not all that useful.
The other reason the thread died is the database server that went offline was back up in a couple of hours. You may argue that is pretty darn good, but it doesn't help those users who reallly needed their email service during that window of downtime, like me.
Of course, if Runbox had a mirrored/hot-backup infrastructure there would not have been an outage at all. But I was called crazy by my peers last time I brought that subject up, so I'll assume you all feel the same way again this time.
