Certainly I have been to McDonald's restaurants all around the world.
I remember when I was in Moscow in 1991 there where people lining up for many hundreds of meters in the center of the city. The locals explained it was a line for the first McDonald's restaurant in the USSR that was just opened (I haven't visited that one, though).

(any junction with that name. I pass one of them between home and work. Google Maps reports several of them around the world. There are probably many more. Waze, another Google product, shows one in Teheran that Google Maps doesn't report).
