Just to be clear from those who haven't been using Fastmail continuously: The interface currently used by Pobox was introduced by Fastmail in 2012. It has been the standard Fastmail web PC interface for five years, so it's not a new interface. Here is the history over the past 16 years:

• Early web interface: Fastmail made many changes to their early web interface between 2001 and 2009.
  • In October 2012 this early interface was discontinued after over 10 years of service. The final login URL was old.fastmail.fm.
• Classic web interface: In February 2009 a new interface was introduced. When people discuss the Classic interface, they are describing this one introduced 8 years ago. I don't believe any significant changes (other than a few bug fixes and changes required to login and search due to backend changes) have been made to this interface since late 2011.
  • In July 2017 the Classic interface will be discontinued after 8 years of service.
• Current AJAX web interface: In October 2012 a new AJAX style interface was introduced and the 2009 interface was renamed Classic.
  • By June 2013, 87% of users had switched away from Classic to the AJAX interface.
  • By December 2016 only between 1-2% of paid users were still using the Classic interface.
• Mobile app: In October 2013 a new iOS and Android mobile app was introduced.
